SGRE 2024 conference supports a few students and young professionals, fully or partially, to attend the conference and present their research outcomes.
Eligibility and Application
To qualify for a Student Travel Award, an applicant must be submitted and should meet all the following criteria:
- Be enrolled at a university for the year 2023-2024 academic year (spring, summer, or fall)
- Be registered for, and attend the SGRE 2024 conference to pick up your check.
- Submitting the complete application, with a copy of the student ID, by the deadline.
To qualify for a Young Professional Award, an applicant must hold Ph.D. degree after 2019 March.
To apply for a grant please follow these steps:
- Make sure that you are eligible to apply for an SGRE 2022 award
- Fill out and submit the SGRE 2024 Student & YP Travel Award Application Form.
- Ask your supervisor (or a university official) to send an email from his/her university account to: sgre-qa{at}qatar.tamu.edu and sbayhan{at}hbku.edu.qa, confirming that you are a current student or PostDoc under his/her supervision and that you will attend the conference. Your student ID should be attached to the supervisor’s email. The subject of the email should be “SGRE 2024 Student &YP Travel Award Application Verification for {YOUR NAME}”. The text should read “I confirm that {YOUR NAME} is a student / PostDoc that is currently under my supervision at {INSTITUTION NAME} and that he/she will be attending SGRE 2024 to present work that he/she completed under my supervision. {SUPERVISOR/OFFICIAL NAME}”
The deadline for applications is December 10, 2023.
Note: Please note that student registration is not considered full fee, such manuscripts will not be accepted for presentation, publication, and travel award. Therefore, one of your co-authors must pay the full registration fee to guarantee your application.
